Research interests
My research encompasses a range of geoscience fields including igneous and metamorphic petrology, isotope geochemistry and geochronology, focusing on understanding the generation of the continental crust and the evolution of Earth’s crust-mantle system. My major contributions have stemmed from the design and application of analytical techniques to decipher the chemical and isotopic information contained within minerals - an approach that is now being applied to understand formation of critical mineral resources associated with felsic igneous rocks. My research involves collaborators from the UK, USA, Sweden, Germany, Brazil, South Africa, China and Japan.
