In order to effectively improve the timeliness of oil support and ensure the optimal effect of oil support, it is necessary to forecast the oil demand. At present, there are problems of poor prediction accuracy and high complexity in relevant achievements, leading to a certain gap with the guarantee practice. As a result, a prediction model of oil demand based on Lanchester equation is proposed. Considering the uncertain factors, such as oil consumption standard, natural conditions and predictions, the dynamic change of equipment quantity was predicted by Lanchester equation based on the theory of similarity between equipment damage and personnel damage, and the influencing factors of equipment damage were quantified. Oil was divided into main oil and supplementary oil, and the basic model of oil demand was constructed. Based on the result of equipment quantity prediction, the basic model is converted into calculus form, and the final oil demand prediction model is obtained. The experimental results show that the constructed prediction model has high precision and low complexity, and can provide theoretical basis for science and information technology.
