Using Flowise to Streamline Biomedical Data Discovery and Analysis

The new technologies regarding data processing enhance the quality of patient care and raise new opportunities in research through the secondary use of Electronic Health Records (EHR) databases. This evolution shifts the focus from the traditional model of generating new data to a nuanced approach centered on data management and analytical prowess. The implications of repurposing health data are profound, promising to elevate healthcare delivery and catalyze breakthroughs in clinical research. Despite these opportunities, the path to effectively discovering and leveraging this wealth of data is challenging. These can be defined into two main challenges: i) data partners grappling with ethical and social dilemmas in making data discoverable; ii) clinical researchers struggling to select the most suitable data sources for their research studies. In this work, we addressed those challenges by introducing a groundbreaking platform equipped with a chatbot-like mechanism to support medical researchers. The tool was designed to empower researchers to efficiently sift through and select the databases that best align with their investigative pursuits.
