摘要
Biometric authentication and encryption are essential tools for protecting user data security in the big data era. However, there is an urgent need to create a more secure and portable biometric encryption approach because the majority of current biometric characteristics are vulnerable to replication or forgery. Here, we proposed a novel multimodal visuotactile sensor as the tactile encryption device based on touch dynamics features, which captures the dynamic variations in force, depth, and particle velocity. The above three features serve as the continuously updated temporal-spatial keys that inputted into every encryption round of a symmetric cryptography. This device has successfully implemented encryption for electronic paintings and serves as a wearable interface for authentication and remote control with an accuracy of 92.5%. Unlike traditional methods, the proposed tactile encryption method is implicit because multimodal tactile information is an inherent attribute tightly linked with the visuotactile sensor. Besides, this method utilizes only lightweight hardware, avoiding issues related to cross-platform timeliness and portability, and holds the potential for seamless integration into existing Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystems.
