摘要
Having implemented the theory of quasioptics for achieving high beam efficiency in wireless power transfer (WPT) systems, the development of a large-scale demonstrator has been pursued in the context of a solar power satellite system. Here we present a preliminary study aimed at validating different aspects of the radiative subsystem of such demonstrator, including the gaussian beam generation achieved by an additively manufactured corrugated horn, as well as its transformation by a Fresnel lens. Both of these novel solutions have been validated individually and were later used in a double-lens reciprocal system, composing a 3-m WPT experiment, where the maximum beam efficiency of 43% was achieved. These positive results show that the beam propagation aspect of the system is well understood, prompting the implementation of the DC-RF and RF-DC conversion subsystems in order to arrive at the complete WPT system validation. The next step would be the development of the large-scale demonstrator.
