摘要
A broadband polarized reconfigurable horn antenna for K‐band and Ka‐band is designed using a circular polarizer in the form of an elliptical waveguide and a circular waveguide flange based on a gap structure. The designed noncontact circular waveguide flange with gap structure can switch the antenna excitation signal to different modes of electromagnetic waves by mechanical rotation. When excited by different modes of electromagnetic waves, the designed elliptical waveguide circular polarizer can switch between linear polarization, left‐handed circular polarization, and right‐handed circular polarization. The antenna is analyzed in principle, modeled and simulated, and processed by three‐dimensional printing process. The measured results show that S11 ≤ −15dB, axial ratio ≤ 3 dB, gain ≥14 dBi in 37.8% relative bandwidth range (22.5–33 GHz). The proposed antenna is broadband, multipolar, and reconfigurable, which makes it have broad application prospects in the field of satellite communication and millimeter‐wave communication.
