Remote Health Monitoring and Alert Network System

This paper demonstrates a remote health monitoring and alert system that integrates a gyroscope for precise fall detection and a pulse oximeter for heart rate (HR) and blood oxygen saturation (Sp02) level tracking. Whenever an abnormality is found in a patient's health, the alert system notifies the healthcare professionals immediately. This system can potentially allow for continuous health monitoring for multiple patients. The Internet of Things (IoT) ensures patient mobility and comfort while facilitating timely medical interventions. We demonstrated this system on five people and reported their medical parameters. The outcomes of this system suggest that it has a vast potential to develop the hardware to monitor the health parameters of the elderly and high-risk patients.
