Study on Falling Force of Disc Suspension Porcelain Insulator Based on ANSYS FEM

Disc suspension porcelain insulator is widely used in overhead transmission lines, but the problem of zero value of porcelain insulator is still serious. In order to study the deterioration factors of zero low value of porcelain insulator, the stress level of each part of insulator under collision condition is studied. The finite element simulation model of disc suspension porcelain insulator is established by ANSYS finite element simulation software. The stress distribution of cement adhesive, porcelain and the bonding interface between cement adhesive and porcelain under the condition of falling collision of insulators is calculated. The results show that cement binder is easier to be destroyed than porcelain and steel cap steel foot, and the cement binder between steel cap and porcelain is easier to be destroyed than that between steel foot and cement. The stress of cement binder is mainly concentrated in the larger curvature of the interface.
