Short Circuit Analysis of 110kv Transformer Based on Distributed Optical Fiber Strain Sensing

Accurate detection of transformer winding deformation directly affects the stability of the power system. In order to achieve accurate real-time monitoring of transformer winding deformation, this paper arranged sensing optical fibers on 110kV transformer windings and built a distributed strain detection platform. Subsequently, multiple sudden short-circuit tests were conducted, and Brillouin Optical Time Domain Analysis technology was used to obtain the strain distribution of the low-voltage a and c-phase windings. Accurate positioning and degree detection of winding deformation were achieved, and the deformation trend of the windings was analyzed. The results show that the strain distribution and fault location of the windings can be accurately obtained through sensing optical fiber and BOTDA technology, and as the short circuit progresses, the winding is more likely to intensify the deformation at the already deformed location. The research conclusion provides a new idea for monitoring transformer winding deformation, and has certain value in the timely detection and accurate assessment of transformer winding deformation faults.
