Radiation grafting modification represents an eco-friendly approach to material alteration. In recent years, the application of electron beam radiation has seen substantial advancements due to its superior safety, controllability, and efficiency. Textiles, as vital human materials, are extensively employed in diverse sectors such as daily life, industrial production, medicine, and environmental protection. By undergoing physical and chemical modifications, textiles can gain additional functionalities and applications, thereby enhancing their effectiveness and broadening their usage scope. This paper offers a comparative analysis of the merits and drawbacks of plasma radiation, gamma radiation, and electron beam radiation for textile modification. It also provides an in-depth exploration of the impact of the electron beam radiation grafting modification method on textile fibers and fabric substrates. Additionally, this paper presents a comprehensive review of recent advancements in the application of electron beam radiation grafting methods in areas such as antibacterial textiles, flame retardant textiles, and hydrophilic/hydrophobic textiles. The current strengths, weaknesses, and development trends within this field are discussed, along with future prospects.
