Pre-Operative INTERMACS Profile As a Predictor of Outcomes in Durable LVAD Patients in the Modern Era

Purpose: Prior studies have demonstrated a link between a patient's Interagency Registry for Mechanically Assisted Circulatory Support (INTERMACS) profile and predicting patient outcomes; however, more current analyses are required to ascertain its continued applicability. We aimed to reassess the prognostic value of the INTERMACS classification system as an indicator of outcomes in patients presenting with cardiogenic shock utilizing a modern dataset.
