摘要
Electromagnetic pulse welding (EMPW) technology has received wide attention in welding the same and dissimilar metal materials. In this paper, the connection of Al 1060 and SiCp/2A14 (2A14/SiC/15p) dissimilar materials was realized by EMPW technology at three discharge energies of 21 kJ, 24 kJ and 27 kJ, and the interface microstructure characterization and tensile-shear performance experiments were carried out to evaluate the joint performance. The results show that the interface morphology of Al 1060-SiCp/2A14 dissimilar materials by EMPW presents a typical wave shape, the wave amplitude is positively correlated with the discharge energy, and the maximum value is 9 mu m (27 kJ). The tensile-shear performance of the welded joint is better than that of the base material, and the maximum tensile-shear force is 2.75kN (27 kJ). The fracture failure mode changes from interface failure (21 kJ and 24 kJ) to base material failure (27 kJ). There are no IMCs (Intermetallic Compounds) at the interface, and the high shear strength of the joint is due to the combined action of mechanical interlocking and atomic diffusion.
