Study of Proton and Deuteron Pickup Reactions 2H(10Be,3He)9 Li and 2H(10Be,4He)8Li with 44 A MeV 10Be Radioactive Beamat ACCULINNA-2 Fragment Separator

The proton and deuteron pickup reactions H-2(Be-10,He-3)Li-9 and(2)H(Be-10,He-4)Li-8 werestudied with the10Be radioactive beam produced by the new fragment separator ACCULINNA-2 atFLNR, JINR.These measurements were initially motivated as the test reactions intended for theelucidation of results obtained in the study of the extremely neutron-rich(7)Hand(6)H systems created in the(2)H(He-8,He-3)(7)Hand(2)H(He-8,He-4)H-6 reactions with the use of the same setup. In the(2)H(Be-10,He-3)(9)Lireaction the(9)Li ground-state (3/2(-))anditsfirst excited state (2.69 MeV,1/2(-)) were identified in thelow-energy region of its excitation spectrum. The differential cross sections for the(9)Lig.s.population wereextracted at the forward center-of-mass angles (3(degrees)-13(degrees)) and compared with the FRESCO calculations.Spectroscopic factor of similar to 1.7, derived by a model suggesting the(10)Be=p+(9)Lig.s.clustering was found inaccord with the experimental data. The energy spectrum of(8)Li populated in the(2)H(Be-10,He-4)Li-8 reactionshows the strong peak which corresponds to the excitation of the second excited state of(8)Li (2.25 MeV,3+).The fact that the ground and thefirst excited states of8Li were not observed in this reaction is consistentwith the shell-model structure of the nuclei involved.
