摘要
Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are gaining attention for their use in wound healing and tissue engineering. Silver nanoparticles have been proven to effectively accelerate wound healing by killing Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial strains and controlling microorganism colonization. Polysaccharides are non-toxic, safe, inexpensive, and have good biocompatibility and biodegradability. Polysaccharides, such as chitosan and gum tragacanth, have positively impacted wound healing processes. Photobiomodulation (PBM) has been shown to enhance cell proliferation, activate lymphocytes, and increase phagocytosis in wound healing. A study synthesized and characterized Nanosilver (NS)-loaded chitosan and gum tragacanth-based biomaterial (CGT-NS) and evaluated its antimicrobial activity. The combined therapy of CGT-NS biomaterial and PBM irradiation at 830 nm in normal wounded cells showed no adverse effects on wound healing processes.
