A Streamlined Approach to Basophil Activation Testing for Longitudinal Characterization of Toddlers with Peanut Allergy During a Multi-Site Phase 3 Double-Blind Placebo-Controlled Trial of Epicutaneous Immunotherapy (EPIT)
JOURNAL OF ALLERGY AND CLINICAL IMMUNOLOGY(2024)
Abstract
The implementation of basophil activation testing (BAT) in multicenter studies remains complex. We recently developed a streamlined strategy for BAT (sBAT). Relying on ready-to-use reagents, it enables straightforward sample preparation at the clinical site before shipping to a central laboratory for analysis up to 5 days post-specimen collection.
