Load Frequency Regulation of Hybrid Marine Microgrid System Employing Improved TIDF Controller

This paper introduces a competent approach for controlling load frequency (LFC) in a hybrid maritime microgrid system (HMGS). This microgrid system comprises of a marine biodiesel generator (BDG), solid oxide fuel cell, wind turbine generator (WTG), renewable energy sources (RESs), Tidal power generation (TPG), both sensitive and non- sensitive loads. A trustworthy metaheuristic optimization approach known as honey badger algorithm (HBA)is used to adjust the settings of the proposed I-TDF controller. Comparative evaluations of various controllers reported in the past study highlight the remarkable performance of the intended I-TDF controller, which includes TIDF and PIDF controllers. Finally, simulation results obtained with MATLAB software confirm the usefulness and dependability of the proposed I-TDF controller. The intended controller can provide system stability while lowering overshoot and shortening the system's settling and rising durations.
