LoRaWAN based Environmental Monitoring for Smart Campus

摘要
The rapid advancement of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has made it possible to implement creative methods to enhance the sustainability, security, and efficiency of modern campuses. In this paper, we describe the environment monitoring system for smart campuses based on LoRaWAN. The suggested system makes use of the Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) capabilities of LoRaWAN to provide an affordable and scalable way to collect real-time data from multiple sensors connected to LoRa shields installed across the campus. These sensors will monitor the temperature and humidity in the environment. The LoRa shield wirelessly transmits data to a central LoRaWAN gateway, which can be configured on a cloud server, such as The Things Network (TTN) platform, for data access. ThingSpeak has been utilized for better data visualization.
