Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the Moscow service of members of the Sovereign's court. The author showed that the majority of persons who filed petitions for leave from Moscow in the 1620s had their own estates in Moscow. All members of the court, regardless of their belonging to the "Moscow" or " Vacation" halves, had to submit petitions for leave from Moscow. The study confirms the testimony of the author of notes about Russia of the beginning of the 17th century Stanislav Nemoevsky stating that members of the Sovereign's court were obliged to permanently stay in Moscow and could leave for their estates only with the special permission of the Tsar.
