摘要
This work aims to achieve the Level 1 Resilience criteria during extreme situations, such as natural disasters, by harnessing the potential of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Electric Vehicles (EV). Unlike existing literature, this work proposes connecting optimal critical loads at every bus in the distribution network through a mixed integer nonlinear optimization problem (MINLP). Optimal placement of EV fleets and BESS is also proposed for loss minimization in the network. Further, the optimal discharge limit for the BESS and EV, during normal conditions is calculated by formulating an MINLP for cost minimization. The energy equivalent of the remainder State of Charge (SOC) post optimal discharge is reserved to be utilized only during resiliency conditions, as executed in the proposed energy management scheme. Hence, the goals of resiliency enhancement and economic feasibility are met concomitantly. All optimization formulations have been executed in General Algebraic Modelling System (GAMS). Finally, the proposed resiliency enhancement model is validated on a modified IEEE 33 bus distribution system in MATLAB/ SIMULINK environment.
