In article, process of automation of diagnostics and elimination of gas defects is considered. The description of a method of identification of kinds of defects, reasons of their emergence and ways of elimination is provided. Within performance of work, complex of systems of support of design of manufacturing techniques of castings from iron and carbonof alloys is offered. The architecture of a complex of automated systems of improvement of quality of molding is considered. The maintenance of main subsystems of a complex is described. An example of analysis of casting the Cover 766, carried out with use of developed method is reviewed. Process of diagnostics of defect of casting and search of reasons of emergence of defect is described, and list of measures for elimination of considered defect is provided
