Observation of 1# Rare Earth Modified Morphologies of M_2B Borides in the Micro-Structures of Fe-Cr-B Alloys

This paper investigated the configuration of M2B borides in the microstructures of Fe-Cr-B alloys after modification with 1# rare earth .The experimental results show that the as-cast modified configuration of M2B borides in the microstructures of Fe-Cr-B alloys is much finer and the original distribution of M2B borides at grain boundaries in the continuous and network modes changes into broken network and granular particles.The configuration of M2B borides in the microstructures is significantly influenced with addition quantity of 1# rare earth.This indicates that the 1# rare earth has significant modification effect on microstructures of Fe-Cr-B alloys.
