摘要
In a typical refinery, >30% CO2 is emitted from the Fluidized Catalytic Cracking(FCC) regenerator. To realize green and low-carbon production, how to capture CO2 in flue gas with low cost and high efficiency is crucial for the development of FCC. The CO2 in-situ enrichment technology of FCC regenerator was proposed in this paper. The regenerator plays the role of CO2 enricher, and additional carbon capture equipment is no longer required. The viability of this technology was critically discussed. Computational Fluid Dynamics was used to investigate the distribution pattern of the flow hydrodynamics and the pattern of coking reaction. Two extreme cases of CO2 in-situ enrichment technology were compared with conventional regeneration. The CO2 concentration in flue gas and dry flue gas exceeds 85% and 93%, respectively. Parameters such as pressure, superficial gas velocity, and O-2 concentration were examined. The optimal operating conditions for new technology were obtained.
