Twice Clearing Method for Hydropower Station Suitable for Intra-day and Real-time Rapid Rolling Computation

With the advancement of “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals”, the proportion of clean energy such as hydropower has gradually increased. Under the background of accelerating the construction of China’s power spot market, the consumption of clean energy through the market mechanism is an important direction for the development of the current power market. There are many challenges in the mechanism design and operation of hydropower participating in electricity market with strong seasonality. In this paper, the key problem of hydropower clearing modeling considering the constraints of vibration area is analyzed, and in view of the situation that the original optimization problem will become non-convex after the introduction of vibration area constraints, a twice clearing method for hydropower is constructed, which is suitable for intra-day and real-time rapid rolling computation. The hydropower output constraints of the second round of clearing are constructed through the initial allocation obtained from the first round of clearing, which simplifies the clearing model and solves the problem that the difficulty of solving the problem increases after the introduction of hydropower vibration area. Finally, a IEEE 14-bus system is simulated to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
