Isoniazid Preventive Therapy among HIV Infected Patients on Antiretroviral Therapy Diagnosed with Latent Tuberculosis: A Retrospective Assessment of the Outcome in Tanzania

•IPT has a high efficacy in preventing active TB development among HIV infected individuals on ART in clinical settings.•Poor nutritional status is significantly associated with development of active tuberculosis among HIV infected patients on ART and IPT.•There is a need to scale up IPT services through out the country.
