Frontier of CO2 Capture and Conversion Towards Carbon Neutrality

With the rapid development ofhuman civilization,the con-centration of CO2 in the atmosphere has sharply increased in the past century,resulting in global temperature anomaly,ex-treme climate events,and eco-environmental disturbances.The green-house gas CO2 is mainly released from the pro-cess of fossil fuel utilization and combustion,usually accom-panied by the emission of various air pollutants.In this sce-nano,the control of CO2 emission becomes an urgent issue related to energy and the environment.From the viewpoint of natural carbon recycling,CO2 is considered as a carbon re-source for energy carrier.The capture of CO2 from atmosphere or emission plants together with its conversion into value-added fuels and chemical products is fundamentally essential to achieve the bright and sustainable carbon-neutrality future.
