Recent Advances in Spinel-Based Protective Coatings Produced by Electrochemical Method on Metallic Interconnects for Solid Oxide Fuel Cells
International journal of hydrogen energy(2024)
摘要
The spinel-based coatings have been applied to limit interconnect degradation issues for the metallic interconnects in solid oxide fuel cells. This work provides the recent advances in spinel-based protective coatings produced by viable and effective electrochemical methods on metallic interconnects. Two-step calcination appears to be the usual way to densify spinel by electrophoretic deposition. The electroplating employs a simple approach to depositing dense alloy coatings by co-deposition of metals with similar potential. The electrophoretic deposition/electroplating method is expected to prepare more particle contents than composite electrodeposition. The polymetallic spinel is further designed to improve the high temperature oxidation performance as the prospective coating by EPD or electroplating method.
