摘要
Introduction Experimental Theiler’s murine encephalomyelitis virus (TMEV) infection of mice is used as a reliable model to study virus-induced hippocampal damage and seizure development. C-type lectin domain family 12 member A (CLEC12A), expressed by myeloid cells, is an inhibitory C-type lectin receptor and negatively regulates the functions of innate immune cells. However, it seems to act ambiguously in infectious disorders. The role of CLEC12A signalling in neurotropic virus infection and its impact on neuropathology has not yet been determined.
