EP09.01-07 Reverse Endobronchial Y-stent Implantation in Selected Cases of the Malignant Central Airway Obtruction

The best method to secure airway patency in patients with advanced cancer having critical obstruction of the central airways, including the distal part of the trachea, carina and proximal part of the main bronchi is the implantation of Y stent. In the case of additionally occluded the right upper lobe bronchi, it is possible and recommended to perform implantation of the Y stent in a reverse manner, that is the longer left bronchial arm to the right main bronchi.
