Systematic Review: the Role of Radiomics in the Management of Perihilar and Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma

Purpose: Radiomics involves the application of bioinformatic tools to medical imaging to extract data beyond what is ‘visible’ to trained radiologists. Radiomics research in oncology has gained popularity recently but translation to clinical practice has been slow. The aim of this study was to appraise the published studies investigating radiomics principles in perihilar (pCCA) and intrahepatic (iCCA) variants of cholangiocarcinoma (CCA).
