Abstract
For the nanotechnological world, lignocellulosic biomass provides the sustainable material which is renewable, recyclable, environmentally friendly and cost-effective. Uses of lignin produce the lignin nanoparticles (LNPs), which are used in medical sciences and help in finding the new routes to biorefinery and lignin valorization. Recent research studies on the carbon quantum dots (CQDs) and nanocomposites have shown the potential of the lignocellulosic biomass as the biocompatible material. Various processes of producing nanocellulose and its major limitations of highly energy intensive and for LNPs, easy dispersity and easily accessing of the lignin monomer is the big challenge.
