Inhibition of Lithium Dendrite Formation in Lithium Metal Batteries Via Regulated Cation Transport Through Ultrathin Sub‐Nanometer Porous Carbon Nanomembranes (adv. Energy Mater. 29/2021)
Advanced energy materials(2021)
Abstract
Lithium Metal Batteries In article number 2100666, Andrey Turchanin, Leela Arava and co-workers incorporate a nanometer thick two-dimensional carbon nanomembrane onto a commercial polyolefin separator to inhibit the propagation of lithium dendrites in lithium metal batteries. The sub-nanometer porous membrane regulates the lithium-ion transport, creating a uniform lithium flux that prevents dendrite nucleation. Cover art by Ilia Ghiasedin.
