Abstract
BACKGROUND Hip fragility fractures are the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in the elderly. Surgical treatment is mostly used in clinical practice, but the long process of postoperative hip function rehabilitation training and the poor self-management ability of patients are not conducive to their subsequent rehabilitation treatment. OBJECTIVE To consolidate the best evidence for digital therapeutic intervention schemes in self-management for patients with hip fragility fractures, providing evidence-based foundation for clinical practitioners to formulate patient self-management plans utilizing digital therapy interventions. METHODS Computerized search of domestic and international databases and websites for clinical decisions, systematic reviews, clinical practice guidelines, evidence summaries, and expert consensus on the self-management of patients with hip fragility fractures from their inception to September 2023. Two researchers assessed the quality of the included studies and extracted the evidence. RESULTS A total of 15 papers were included, comprising 4 guidelines, 5 expert consensus documents,5 systematic reviews, and 1 evidence summaries. The research team summarized 26 best pieces of evidence from 4 aspects: digital design, self-management influencing factors, self-management intervention plan, self-management intervention content. CONCLUSIONS This study offers comprehensive and scientific evidence-based foundations on digital therapy interventions for the self-management of patients with hip fragility fractures, serving as a substantial reference for healthcare professionals to foster more efficient and tailored self-management plans.
