Oxidation of substituted N-acyl-4-phenyl-3a,4,5,9b-tetrahydro-3H-cyclopenta[c]quinolines led to the corresponding 1,2-epoxides and 1,2-diols. The synthesized 1,2-epoxides were characterized with respect to the acute toxicity, cytotoxicity, analgesic activity, and influence on the locomotion and exploration in open-field test.
