Synthesis of SnO2 Nanoparticles by Hydrothermal Method at Different Concentration Values and Reaction Time

Tin dioxide (SnO 2 ) nanoparticles were synthesized by hydrothermal method at concentrations of 3.4, 6, and 9 mM, and at synthesis times of 12, 14, and 16 h. The vibrational modes studied by Raman spectroscopy indicate the formation of a Sn02 phase. The structural properties of the samples analyzed by X-ray diffraction indicate that the synthesized Sn02 nanoparticles have the tetragonal crystalline phase of space group P42/mnm. From the scanning electron microscopy results, the formation of agglomerated nanoparticles with a spherical structure with sizes less than 10.5 nm is observed.
