Development of ITER Gyrotrons in JADA

The 170GHz ITER gyrotron is required for 1MW output power and long pulse (maximum 3600s) operation with 50% electrical efficiency. All eight gyrotron, which is planned to be procured by Japan Domestic Agency (JADA), are manufactured. Six of them are tested and successfully satisfy the ITER requirement. The other gyrotron, which can generate the 170GHz/104GHz are also designed and manufactured. The initial short pulse test is performed.
