Research on Optimal Operation of PEDF System Based on Improved ChOA

The construction of “Photovoltaic, Energy storage, Direct current, Flexibility loads” (PEDF) system is beneficial for the consumption of distributed photovoltaic power generation, promoting flexible electricity usage among users. An optimized operational strategy for the PEDF system based on the improved Chimp Optimization Algorithm (ChOA) is proposed in this paper. Firstly, mathematical models for each component of the PEDF system are constructed. The optimal operation model of the system takes the minimum dispatching cost of flexible loads, equipment operation and maintenance cost and the power interaction cost between the system and the grid as the objective function. Secondly, the teaching factor and the individual's self-memory idea are used to improve the optimization accuracy and convergence of ChOA, and the proposed improved ChOA is used to solve the optimization operation model of the PEDF system to obtain the optimal output scheme of each equipment. Finally, the case study validation demonstrates that the proposed algorithm possesses excellent global search capability. It outperforms the original ChOA and genetic algorithm in terms of convergence speed, optimization accuracy, and stability. The PEDF system can achieve superior overall benefits with the utilization of this improved algorithm.
