Advancing Evolutionary Science in Dialogue with Islam

Islam and Evolution: Al-Ghazali and the Modern Evolutionary Paradigm by Shoaib Ahmed Malik is a significant contribution to religious studies, likely to shape scientific dialogues with Islam for some time to come. Malik takes a theology-centric approach, concluding that faithful exegesis requires that Adam and Eve are (1) genealogical ancestors of us all, and (2) were created de novo, without their parents.
