Everlasting interaction: resolution of the mystery of the Landau pole

摘要
We study interacting electromagnetic fields in the framework of effective QED
action, implementing the everlasting nature of the photon interaction with
electron-positron loop fluctuations in the vacuum state. We develop a
polarization summation based on the requirement that the always-interacting
(dressed) photons are the asymptotic states. We show that as result the
interaction-picture-based Schwinger-Dyson summation is extended in the strong
coupling limit to a continuous fraction, for which there is no Landau pole.
