Research progress of electrochemistry in detecting markers of cardiovascular disease

Cardiovascular disease is responsible for the majority of global deaths, posing a grave threat to human life and health. Consequently, how to diagnosis and monitor the treatement of the cardiovascular disease were significant. The current detecting methods for cardiovascular disease can not meet the testing requirements. Thus, it is significant to develop the noval electrochemical biosensors that can accurately and quickly detect diseases with a low cost. This will facilitate the rapid detection of diseases. Markers of cardiovascular disease can be divided into mature markets, emerging markets, and additional biomarkers. Among many early diagnostic tools, electrochemical biosensors are very suitable for monitoring the onset and progression of cardiovascular diseases. This article provides an overview of some recent literature on electrochemical biosensors for detecting cardiovascular disease markers.
