(POSTER) Towards Automated HVAC Control in Fibre Composite Manufacturing.

Automated Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) control is an important component for the fifth industrial revolution (Industry 5.0) to save energy and protect human workers from harmful conditions. In this poster, we present a case study of a complete Cyber Physical Production System (CPPS) to monitor and control an HVAC system for an industrial milling room. The system's main goal is to ensure good working conditions for human workers, reducing particle emissions inside the room. We show the hardware and software design of the system together with the control algorithm, which realizes the demand driven control of the HVAC system. The particle concentrations and HVAC parameters are shown over an exemplary workday in a real industrial environment.
