Abstract
•A new insight for the electrochemical analysis of dopamine based on reverse voltammetry preoxidation was presented.•The proposed analytical strategy of reverse voltammetry preoxidation is applicable to monoamine neurotransmitters with a catechol structure.•The dual quantitative analysis of dopamine in the presence of ascorbic acid (1.0 mM) was achieved with the linear range of 2.0 to 80 μM and 60 to 200 μM, respectively.
