Worker flows and reallocation during the recovery

•We study employment trajectories during the pandemic and the recovery.•Workers most attached to the labour market fared better than in the past.•Those who lost the job at the pandemic onset and new entrants bore most of the cost.•We do not find evidence of significant cross-firms or cross-sectors reallocation.
