摘要
Cancer patients benefit from cardiology co-management in terms of reducing potential cardiotoxic events. In addition, in some cases the oncological therapy goal can be achieved sooner if cardiological side effects are recognized and treated more effectively. In this context, cardiological care is specifically tailored to the necessary diagnostic and therapeutic measures, which are derived from the pre-existing diseases, individual risks as well as the planned oncological therapies. The recommendations in this regard are essentially based on the recommendations of the current guideline of the European Society of Cardiology. The implementation of the guidelines poses particular challenges for the physicians treating patients, both in private practice and in hospitals. At the same time, the recommendations are an important step towards improved cardio-oncological patient care.
