Clinical Application of Cardiac Enzymes in Severe Pneumonia

Objective To study the changes of cardiac enzymes in patients with pneumonia and its clinical significance.Methods 383 patients with pneumonia were selected in this study to compare the different levels of cardiac enzymes between patients with severe pneumonia and ordinary pneumonia and the abnormality of cardiac enzymes of patients with severe pneumonia caused by different pathogens.Besides,the abnormality of ECG,the incidence of complications and the mortality were analyzed and compared between patients with severe pneumonia with different levels of cardiac enzymes.Results There was significant difference of myocardial enzyme between the severe pneumonia group and the common pneumonia group(P 0.05).The differences of ECG and incidence of heart failure showed a statistical significance between patients with severe pneumonia with different levels of cardiac enzymes(P 0.05).Conclusion Cardiac enzymes play an important role in the monitoring of myocardial injury severe pneumonia and have important clinical value in the assessment of severe pneumonia condition.
