Clinical Evaluation of 50 Cases with Tuberculous Meningitis.

Objective To investigate the characteristics of brain CT and cerebrospinal fluid(CSF),and to provide a reference for diagnosis and treatment of tuberculous meningitis.Methods Fifty patients including 31 males and 19 females were collected.Retrospective analysis of brain CT and CSF were done.Results The manifestination of brain CT included hydrocephalus,cerebral infarction,edema of white mater,calcification,tuberculoma,etc.The characteristic of CSF showed that pressure of CSF increased,protein concentration increased,concentration of glucose and chloride decresed,adenosine deaminase and C-reaction protein increased.Conclusion The characteristics of brain CT and CSF are very important for diagnosis of tuberculous meningitis.
