The construction and operation of a 570-liter bubble chamber filled wlth freon-12 and freon-13 are described. The operating temperature of the mixture is 28 deg C. The gas pressure is 24 atm. The chamber responds to ionizing radiation 60 mu sec following the discharge. The operational cycle is fulfilled within a few seconds. (tr-auth)
