Revista de Casos e Consultoria(2021)
摘要
The present study aims to identify what the literature addresses about the mental health of nursing professionals who are at the forefront in the care of patients with COVID-19. This is an integrative review, using the SciELO, PubMed, MEDLINE and LILACS databases, from Health Sciences Descriptors (DeCS): “Nursing”, “Pandemic”, “Coronavirus” and “Mental health”. Inclusion criteria: original articles, with no time frame. Exclusion criteria: revision, theses, monographs, non-specific theme, if it were not in Portuguese / English and that had an incomplete text. The main results are the development of a high prevalence of anxiety and depression symptoms in nurses who experience this precarious situation, as well as demonstrating that the main strategy to improve the mental health of nursing professionals is empathic listening. From this, it was possible to identify what the literature addresses about the mental health of nurses who are on the front lines against COVID-19, making it possible to realize that interventions are necessary to reduce mental illness and prevent mental complications.
