Value of Panels of Combined Antibodies in Differential Diagnosis of Lung Adenocarcinomas and Squamous Cell Carcinomas

Objective To investigate the value of combined antibodies in distinguishing lung adenocarcinomas from squamous cell carcinomas.Methods The expression of p40(ΔNp63),CK5/6,TTF-1,napsinA in 119lung adenocarcinomas and107squamous cell carcinomas were examined by Elivision immunohistochemical methods using tissue microarray.Results p40、CK5/6were positive in 93.5%(100/107)and 96.3%(103/107)of lung squamous cell carcinomas,and the specificity were97.5%and 90.8%,respectively.For lung squamous cell carcinomas,the specificity(99.2%)and sensitivity(99.1%)of the combination of p40and CK5/6were higher than each of them.TTF-1、napsinA were positive in 87.4%(104/119)and 89%(106/119)of lung adenocarcinomas,and the specificity were 93.5% and 96.3%,respectively.Conclusion NapsinA is the specialist marker for lung adenocarcinomas.Combined detection of p40,CK5/6,TTF-1,napsinA is valuable to distinguish poorly differentiated lung adenocarcinomas from squamous cell carcinomas.
