We propose an artificial neural network (ANN) based algorithm to establish the mapping between generalized mutual information (GMI) and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in optical networks with nonlinear Kerr effect. Under highly diverse link configurations, the network achieves great performance with 0.043 dB maximum absolute error. (C) 2022 The Author(s)
