摘要

•A new composite dike was identified from the Aksu blueschist terrane in NW Tarim.•The composite dike consists of deformed granites and undeformed diabases.•The metamorphic age of the Aksu Group can be precisely constrained at 800–780 Ma.•Tectonic switch from orogeny to intraplate extension occurred at mid-Neoproterozoic.
